# DFN inside a zone

Hello everyone, i am new to FLAC, still trying to figure out some things, the manuals help but i m still confused somehow.

I am tryint to replicate the UCS test with DFN (from FLAC 2D turorials) in FLAC 3D. So far i learnt how to generate a cubic zone. I have two questions:  
1- There are fish commands to generate a dfn within a domain such as

```auto
model new
domain extent -5 5
fracture template create 'ex_temp' size power-law 3 size-limit 0.5 100
fracture generate dfn 'example' template 'ex_temp' fracture-count 500

```

however, i dont know how one can visualize the generated dfn ?

2-how do i combine the dfn with a zone ? meaning how to generate a dfn inside a zone ?

Its me again, i somehow got the answer to this by watching a very old flac video on YT.

```auto
model new

domain extent 0 40 

fracture template create "example" size gauss 7 4 position uniform

fracture generate dfn "george" template "example" fracture-count 40 

zone create brick size 40 40 40 

zone group 'DFN' range dfn "george" dist 0.0 extent

```
