Yes, we plan to incorporate Python API for structural elements in the near future (probably within 2-3 months). There are few more things that need to be finished and then it will be released in one of the updates.

Hi, the Python API for structural elements hasn’t been incorporated in the flac2d 9.0.181, but it does in Flac2D 9.4, when will it be done in flac2d 9.0?

Hi Sullivan,

I cannot comment on to why PythonAPI for SEL was added only to the current subscription version (e.g., 9.4), most likely this logic was developed in the version of the source code corresponding to the subscription. Obviously, the simplest solution would be to update to this version. Are there some specific reason why you cannot update and need this in v9.0?

Because we have already bought the 9.0 Perpetual version, and the price of V9.4 subscription version is high.

The reason I want the Python api in flac2d is that the python is easier to use than the fish, and in my models the structures are frequently applied. I deeply hope that the python api will be added in FLAC2D v9.0.
