Geotechnical engineer working mainly in tailings and embankment dam engineering, with a particular interest in numerical modelling using FLAC2D and FLAC3D, critical-state soil mechanics, liquefaction, and seismic analysis.

A big part of what interests me is understanding the behaviour and mechanisms behind the model results, rather than just getting a calculation to converge.

I’m also gradually building up my Python skills, mostly for automation, data processing, and post-processing.

Outside work, I collect second-hand books, read a lot of science fiction, and am a fairly committed coffee lover.
