I am planning to model a bulkhead wall on a slope using FLAC v9, and I’ve noticed that there are two possible structural elements to represent the wall. In previous projects, I used beam elements, but the FLAC manual also recommends liner elements for wall-type analyses.
Which element is preferred for this type of application, and what are the reasons for choosing one over the other?
