Hysteretic damping based on Darendeli

Is there a way using fish to apply hysteretic damping, based on the Darendeli equations, which is dependent on the overburden (or on the confining) stress?

If use of a single modulus reduction curve/damping curve is unrealistic, you can make the hysteretic damping depth-dependent (less damping and modulus reduction at high mean stress). You can create several groups depending on the depth and then use different hysteretic damping curves for each group. Or you can use fish code and loop the whole model and assign different hysteretic damping curves based on the mean stress.

Hi jwang and everyone, actually I want to ask a question relating to 3DEC but cannot post as new topic, so I write in this thread. I am trying to simulate soil structure interaction with 3DEC in dynamic analysis and I want to apply shear stiffness and damping reduction curves (versus a shear strain range) to the soil mass. However, It seems that 3DEC does not provide any hysteretic damping model (based on Hardin/Drnevich function) like in FLAC. Are there any way to apply shear stiffness and damping reduction curves to 3DEC model? Thank you so much.
