Is it normal in a numerical model (FLAC 3D) for the gridpoint pore pressure to increase even after it starts operating drained conditions. My model is taking more than 2 hrs to converge but the pore pressure after going up initially is not dropping. I am running a coupled analysis with model mechanical follower on (pile supported embankment). the settlement is slowly increasing but the pore pressure is still high. What could have gone wrong in the model? The settlement value it is giving is very close to the real experiment case though.
