Unable to load a second .sav 3DEC crashes

Hello Itascans.

We’re currently running some 3DEC models for a project and we would like to run two instances at once in one of our machines. The machine in question has 128 gb Ram and should be able to load and run two models at once, it even did before, but at some point 3DEC started crashing during the restoring process of a .sav.

We’re currently using 3DEC version 7.00.161, our savs weight ~16 gb (unziped) and use ~43gb Ram while running, so with 128 gb we should have plenty to load and run two at once.

We’ve had this problem before in other machines and the issue has been solved by formating the machine. This is an alternative we would like to avoid if possible.

Thank you!

Jean

Hello Anorriz, did you try assigning ram memory directly to 3dec?

You mean setting priority above normal or high? yes.

no, i mean modifying this… there you can assign X MB of your ram directly on 3DEC, if im not wrong the default is 8000 MB

I just tried this.

Second instance still crashed while restoring a .sav.

can you try building two small models and trying to restore them? just to understand if the problem is related to memory requirements
