I was conducting simulations to find FOS and check the failure sliding plane in UDEC 6. I plotted the velocity magnitude with vector and also the displacement magnitude with vector and found out the velocity shows better failure sliding surface results.

Can anyone tell me which plot should I take for better results to show failure sliding surface (velocity or displacement or any other?).

And I also wanted to ask if the displacement and velocity magnitudes show the results for the accumulated values for the whole cycles or only for the last cycle?
