Help needed...Modeling pile as solid element (zone group) within soil block

Hi @itascan

My unit cell (Soil block) dimension is 1112

   zone create brick size 5 5 60 ...
    point 0 (0,0,-12) point 1 (1,0,-12) point 2 (0,1,-12) ...
    point 3 (0,0,0) point 4 (1,1,-12) point 5 (0,1,0) ...
    point 6 (1,0,0) point 7 (1,1,0) group 'soil'

my pile is cylinder
zone create cylinder size 5 15 5…
point 0 (0 0 0) point 1 (0.19 0 0) …
point 3 (0 0.19 0) point 4 (0.19 0 -8.4)…
point 2 (0 0 -8.4) point 5 (0 0.19 -8.4) group ‘pile’

Would you kindly help me with the commands to install (model) this cylindrical pile within the soil block as a solid element (not-structural elements) and then create an interface at the wall and base of the pile with the soil?
Please note that the base of the pile and soil are at different elevations.
Will there be no effect of overlapping of zones?

Thank you.

@Newuser
I’d suggest using the radial-cylinder mesh primitive. I included an example of how to use it for your cylindrical pile model from flac3dsupport@itascacg.com.
