Why doesn’t the pile node create a p-y or a t-z link at which the pile elements and the zone elements are intersected?

It appears that the model has the large-strain option enabled, which might cause updated node positions to be slightly above the zone surface. If a node is positioned outside any zone, its node-to-zone link will be removed.

If you want to maintain a link in such situations, consider setting a larger tolerance. Please refer to below link for details.

Thank you very much.
